Dovato Information:

Dovato (Dolutegravir and Lamivudine) is a combination antiviral medication that prevents human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) from multiplying in your body. It is used to prevent the spread of HIV and the development of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Dolutegravir and lamivudine are both enzyme inhibitors. The enzymes they block are needed by HIV to multiply and grow, so by blocking them, Dovato prevents the spread of HIV and can reduce the amount of HIV in the body. Dovato is not a cure for HIV or AIDS. Dovato is only for use in adults who have not been treated with other antiviral medications before. Symptoms of HIV/AIDS can include belly cramps, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, enlarged lymph nodes in the neck, armpits and groin, fever, or headache. Your doctor will discuss the most effective treatment for your symptoms.
