Rimadyl Information:

Rimadyl (generic name - Carprofen) is used in dogs to treat pain and inflammation caused by various conditions such as osteoarthritis or hip dysplasia. It is also used to treat pain and inflammation following a surgical operation in dogs. Rimadyl belongs to a group of medications called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It works by blocking the activity of an enzyme called cyclooxygenase, leading to a reduction in pain and other signs of inflammation.
