Farxiga Side Effects:
The common side effects of Farxiga may include genital yeast infection, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, urinating more than usual.
Contact your doctor immediately if you notice more serious side effects such as:

• Signs of a bladder infection (pain or burning when you urinate, increased urination, blood in your urine, fever, pain in your pelvis or back);

Farxiga Directions:
Take Farxiga exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Your doctor may occasionally change your dose. You may take Farxiga with or without food. Your blood sugar will need to be checked often, and you may also need to test the level of ketones in your urine. Farxiga can cause life-threatening ketoacidosis (too much acid in the blood). Even if your blood sugar is normal, contact your doctor if you have a urine test that shows you have ketones in the urine. You may experience low blood sugar while taking this medication. Your doctor may prescribe a glucagon injection kit in case you have severe hypoglycemia. Make sure your family or close friends know how to give you this injection in case of an emergency. Store this medication at room temperature away from moisture and heat. Keep out of sight and reach of children.
Farxiga Precautions:
You should not use Farxiga if you are allergic to Dapagliflozin, or if you have:
• Reduced kidney function;
• Kidney disease;
• Liver disease;
• Bladder infections or other urination problems;
• Low blood pressure;
• Problems with your pancreas
This medication should not be used during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. Tell your doctor immediately if you are pregnant or become pregnant while using Farxiga. Several medications may interact with Farxiga, especially insulin or other oral diabetes medications, or diuretics (water pills). Tell your doctor about any medications, vitamins, or herbal supplements you are currently taking or have recently taken in order to reduce the risk of any interactions.
