Cerumol Information:

Buy Cerumol

Cerumol (Chlorobutanol/Dichlorobenzene/Oil of Turpentine/Peanut Oil) is used to soften and remove hard or excessive wax from the ear. It is a combination of various active ingredients such as chlorobutanol, which is an antibacterial and anesthetic agent, dichlorobenzene, which is an organic compound, and two oil products, oil of turpentine and peanut oil (Arachis oil). Cerumol works through the action of all these active ingredients to lubricate and soften the ear wax with minimal irritation of the ear canal.

Cerumol Side Effects:

Cerumol, just like every other medication, has its side effects. These side effects include temporary hearing difficulty, earache, itchiness, dizziness, ear infections, high-pitched tones or ringing in the ear, local irritation, redness, and rash. Inform your doctor immediately if these side effects last or worsen.

Cerumol Directions:

Use this medication as your doctor prescribes, and ensure you read the leaflet in the pack for more information about its use. To apply this medication, remove the cap off the medication and replace it with a dropper. To begin, you'll need to get a small cotton ball ready. Tilt your head to one side, either by lying down or sitting. Drop 5 drops into your ear using the dropper. To help retain the liquid in your ear canal, plug the ear with the cotton ball wet with Cerumol, but do not force it into your ear canal. Following an hour, or the morning after, take out the cotton ball. Do this 2 or 3 times daily for a total of three days. Ear wax should drain easily unless it is exceptionally dense. As the wax softens, it should seep out on its own. Do not use this medication for more than 3 days. If you notice no change in your condition after a few days, you should contact your doctor. Store this medication at room temperature and keep it away from sunlight and moisture and out of children's reach.

Cerumol Precautions:

Before using this medication, it is important to inform your doctor about any past or current medical conditions you may have, especially the following:
• Allergic reaction to chlorobutanol, dichlorobenzene, oil of turpentine, peanut oil, other ingredients of Cerumol, or any other medication;
• Perforated ear drum;
• Skin conditions of the outer ear, such as eczema or dermatitis;
• Sore or inflamed ear canal.

Do not swallow this medication, as it is only meant for your ear. If you mistakenly swallow it, go to the nearest hospital as soon as possible. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, contact your doctor before using this medication to ensure it is safe. This medication will not make you drowsy or dizzy or stop you from driving or operating machines, but it can cause temporary deafness. This medication is not suitable for use in children under 1 year of age. Discuss with your doctor any medications you are currently taking to determine if they can interact with Cerumol.
