Kazano Information:
Kazano (generic name alogliptin benzoate and metformin hydrochloride) is an anti-diabetic medication and is used along with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar in adults with type 2 diabetes. It is used in patients who are not controlled on metformin alone or in combination with pioglitazone, or in combination with insulin. Metformin works by decreasing sugar production in liver and by decreasing absorption of glucose by intestines. Alogliptin works by regulating the levels of insulin your body produces after eating. It is important that you continue to follow the advice on diet and exercise that your nurse or doctor has given you while taking this medication.
Symptoms of diabetes include increased thirst and hunger, frequent urination, weight change, fatigue, irritability, blurred vision, and slow healing of wounds. If you are diagnosed with any of the symptoms, your doctor will discuss the most effective treatment for your particular condition.
