FeraMAX Information:

Feramax (generic name: Polysaccharide-Iron complex) is a once-a-daily oral drug for treatment and management of iron deficiency anemia. Iron is an important mineral needed by the body to produce red blood cells and maintain good health. Feramax is an oral iron supplement which is formulated with polysaccharides in a stable complex. It is indicated for the treatment and prevention of iron-deficiency anemia. It is a non-ionic polysaccharide iron-complex formulation which allows the iron to pass through the stomach in an intact form thus reducing the gastrointestinal side effects experienced with other iron formulations. Patients with iron deficiency anemia experience tiredness, insomnia, irritability, mood swings, trouble sleeping, weakness, decreased appetite, headaches, low exercise tolerance, skin pigmentation, lack of energy, hair loss, dizziness and shortness of breath. If you are diagnosed your doctor will discuss the most effective treatment for your particular condition.
