Staxyn (generic name: Verdenafil) is a new drug for the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED), also known as impotence. Erectile dysfunction is a condition whereby it is difficult or impossible to get or maintain an erection. Staxyn provides higher systemic exposure compared to vardenafil 10 mg film-coated tablets (Levitra). Staxyn is taken as needed, orally, approximately 60 minutes before sexual activity. Staxyn (vardenafil) works by helping to relax muscles and increase blood flow into the penis during sexual stimulation. This helps men to achieve and maintain an erection. Staxyn does not work without sexual stimulation, and it is meant for use only prior to sexual intercourse. It should not be used for any other purpose.
Staxyn Side Effects:
As with any drug, there may be side effects from taking Staxyn. The most common side effects include warmth or redness of the face, neck or chest; runny of stuffy nose, headache, dizziness, upset stomach and back pain. More serious side effects may include sudden vision loss, changes to vision, ringing in the ears or loss of hearing, chest pain, irregular heartbeat, swelling in the hands or feet, feeling light headed, painful penis erection, an erection that lasts more than 4 hours and seizures. There may be other side effects, and if you experience any side effects you must seek medical attention immediately for safety.
Staxyn Directions:

You should take a tablet 1 hour before sexual activity. It can be taken with or without food. Staxyn should be stored at room temperature away from direct sunlight and heat.

You must consult your doctor if you are taking any other medications as they may interact with Staxyn, including convaptan, imatinib, isoniazid, antidepressants, antibiotics, antifungals, blood pressure or heart medications or medication for HIV/AIDs.
