Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. It is not known if this medication will pass into breast milk or if it will harm a nursing baby. Talk to your doctor before breastfeeding. Lacrisert Opht Insert is not likely to interact with oral medications; however, it may still interact with other ophthalmic medications. Tell your doctor about any other medications, supplements, or vitamins you are currently taking or have recently taken in order to reduce the risk of any possible interactions. Lacrisert Opht Insert may cause temporary blurred vision. Do not drive or operate heavy machinery until you are sure you can perform these activities safely. This medicine may also cause your eyes to become more sensitive to light than they are normally. Wearing sunglasses and avoiding too much exposure to bright light may help lessen the discomfort. If your eye symptoms get worse or if you get new eye symptoms, remove the eye insert and check with your doctor as soon as possible.
