Veramyst Information:
Veramyst (generic name: Fluticasone) is a drug which is prescribed for the treatment of nasal symptoms such as congestion, sneezing and runny nose caused by seasonal and all-year round allergies. Seasonal allergies include hay fever and rhinitis. Veramyst contains the active ingredient fluticasone. Fluticasone is a corticosteroid (steroid) and belongs to the group of drugs called anti-inflammatories, and it works by preventing the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. Veramyst Nasal Spray is a prescription only drug and cannot be obtained without a valid prescription or RX. It is suitable for adults and children over the age of 2 years. Steroids can have many different effects in the body, including anti-inflammatory effects. Steroids decrease inflammation by limiting the body's ability to produce an immune system reaction.
