Duricef Side Effects:
Duricef, like many other medications, carries many different side effects. Common side effects of Duricef include upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Some serious side effects of Duricef include signs of liver disease (such as nausea/vomiting that doesn't stop, loss of appetite, stomach/abdominal pain, yellowing eyes/skin, dark urine), new signs of infection (such as sore throat that doesn't go away, fever), easy bruising/bleeding, signs of kidney problems (such as change in the amount of urine), mental/mood changes (such as confusion). This medication may rarely cause a severe intestinal condition due to a bacteria called C. difficile. This condition may occur during treatment or weeks to months after treatment has stopped. Tell your doctor right away if you develop: diarrhea that doesn't stop, abdominal or stomach pain/cramping, blood/mucus in your stool. Duricef Directions:
Take Duricef directly as prescribed to you by your physician. Additional dosage information may be found on the packaging and the leaflet. Duricef is available as a tablet with dosages starting from 250 to 500 mg. Duricef should be taken orally usually once or twice daily. Take Duricef at the same times everyday, to avoid missing doses. This medication may be taken without food but if upset stomach occurs, then take Duricef alongside your meals. Store Duricef at controlled room temperatures 15°–30° C. Keep out of reach of children.
Duricef Precautions:
Do not take Duricef if you are allergic to it or any of its ingredients. Duricef should only be used during pregnancy after consulting with your physician and if benefits outweigh risks. This medication passes into breastmilk, but it is unknown if it can harm a nursing child, thus consult with your physician before breast feeding.
