Aldara Cream Information:
Aldara Cream (generic name: Imiquimod) is a topical (applied to the skin) drug which is used to treat keratosis. Keratosis is a condition that is caused by too much sun exposure on the skin. Aldara cream is usually used to treat prolonged sun exposure on the face and scalp. It can also be used to treat a mild form of skin cancer, called superficial basal cell carcinoma, when surgery would not be an appropriate treatment, and to treat genital warts that appear outside the body.
