Elmiron (generic name: Pentosan Polysulfate Sodium) is an approved drug which is prescribed to reduce the risk of stroke and blood clots in patients. Elmiron Side Effects:

As with any drug, there may be side effects from taking Elmiron including hair loss, nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, headache, mild dizziness, depressed mood and mild itching or skin rash.
