Combipatch (Estradiol/Norethindrone) is a prescription patch used by women to help reduce the symptoms of menopause such as hot flashes, and vaginal dryness. It is also used before menopause to treat a lack of estrogen caused by hypogonadism, primary ovarian failure, or surgical removal of ovaries. Combipatch contains two female hormones; an estrogen (Estradiol), and a progestin (Norethindrone). Estradiol is a form of estrogen, a female sex hormone that regulates many processes in the body. Norethindrone is a form of progesterone, a female hormone that regulates ovulation and menstruation. Combipatch is a small and discreet patch that provides a continuous release of hormones through your skin and directly into your bloodstream.
