Zovirax Information:
Zovirax (generic name: Acyclovir) is a drug which is prescribed for the treatment of the herpes virus. The active ingredient is Acyclovir, which belongs to the group of drugs called antivirals. It works by slowing the growth and spread of the herpes virus so that the body can fight off the infection. Zovirax is used to treat infections caused by the herpes virus which can include genital herpes (genital warts), cold sores, shingles and chicken pox.
