Starlix Side Effects:

Like every other medication, Starlix does have its side effects, although they don't necessarily occur in every individual that takes the drug, especially when used as instructed.

Perhaps the most common side effect of this drug is hypoglycemia (low sugar in the blood) which can be fatal if not treated promptly. Individuals who take alcohol, don't eat adequately, or engage in intense exercise are more likely to develop low blood sugar while taking this drug. Symptoms of low blood sugar include anxiety, blurred vision, cold sweats, confusion, cool and pale skin, difficulty thinking, drowsiness, excessive hunger, fast heartbeat, headache, nausea, nervousness, nightmares, slurred speech, unusual tiredness or weakness, and loss of consciousness.

Other common side effects that can occur with the use of Starlix include weight gain, abdominal or stomach pain, back pain, chills, cough, dizziness, heartburn, pain in the joints or muscles, runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, and swelling in the joints.
