Restasis Information:

Restasis (generic name: Cyclosporine Ophthalmic Emulsion) is a drug for the treatment of chronic dry eye disease, and comes as eye drops. Chronic dry eye is often caused by inflammation in the eye. Cyclosporine is an immunosuppressive agent and works by increasing the eye’s natural ability to produce tears, which is commonly reduced in patients with chronic dry eye. Restasis does not work in patients using anti-inflammatory eye drops or tear duct plugs. It is common for many people to experience dry eyes at times, but chronic dry eye is when a patient experiences the symptoms for longer periods. Symptoms usually include dryness in the eyes (i.e. no natural tear duct liquid), itchy eyes, soreness in the eyes and stinging eyes. Increasing the tears in the eyes using Restasis helps to soothe the symptoms and helps patients feel more comfortable. A common cause of chronic dry eye disease is ageing, as well as the menopause in women due to a change in hormones. Also patients with dehydration disorders may commonly experience prolonged dry eye symptoms. supplies only genuine Restasis from Europe and Canada shipped using European or Canadian packaging. This Restasis is manufactured by Allergan, the worldwide manufacturer of Restasis. This offer is neither endorsed nor authorized by Allergan (the United States and Canadian distributor of Restasis). has no affiliation whatsoever with Allergan.
