Banzel (Rufinamide) is used to control seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. It is used to reduce the amount and severity of seizure episodes in patients living with this syndrome. Banzel belongs to a group of medications called antiepileptic drugs. Banzel Side Effects:

Like every other medication, Banzel has its side effects, although rare. Possible side effects include decreased appetite, dizziness, drowsiness, headache, nausea, sleepiness, tiredness, and vomiting. Contact your doctor immediately if these side effects last or worsen.

Serious side effects that may occur (although rare) with the use of Banzel include loss of coordination, difficulty walking, mental or mood changes, severe nausea and vomiting, yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes, dark urine, pale stools, double vision, blurred vision, thoughts of suicide or harming yourself, irregular heartbeat, dizziness, abnormal awareness of heartbeat, pounding or racing heartbeat, fainting or loss of consciousness, severe skin rash, itching, swelling of the face, throat, and tongue.
