Combivir is an antiviral used to treat human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection. It is a combination drug consisting of Epivir and Retrovir, which works in the same way if the two pills were taken separately. Combivir prevents HIV from altering the genetic material of healthy T-cells. This prevents the cells from producing new virus and decreases the amount of virus in the body.

Combivir Side Effects:

When taking Combivir, it can cause you to develop fatigue, pale skin, sore throat, fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, stomach problems, and shortness of breath. Other side effects associated with Combivir include weakness of limbs and liver problems in which case you should contact you doctor as soon as possible.
