Orciprenaline (aka Metaproterenol is a member of the adrenergic bronchodilator class of drugs that are used to expand the bronchial tubes. This drug is used primarily to relieve the symptoms of acute bronchial asthma and to reduce the frequency and severity of recurrent asthma attacks. It is also useful in the relief of bronchospasms associated with chronic bronchitis and emphysema. The traditional brand name for this product is Alupent.

Side effects include headache, nervousness and or tremors. Also include dizziness, increased wheezing, and difficulty in breathing.
