Activella Information:

Prescription ACTIVELLA contains an estrogen and a progestin, both derived from plants. Menopause results in decreased levels of estrogen and progestin. Activella supplements your body with hormones to treat symptoms of hormonal deficiency associated with menopause. If you are experiencing symptoms of menopause that are interfering with your lifestyle and daily activities, consider ACTIVELLA. ACTIVELLA can help keep your hormones in balance and your menopause-related symptoms under control.

What are the benefits of using ACTIVELLA? With just one tablet a day, ACTIVELLA provides the following benefits to postmenopausal women with an intact uterus:

Relief of moderate to severe hot flashes and night sweats
Relief of vaginal symptoms such as dryness and discomfort
Prevention of postmenopausal osteoporosis

ACTIVELLA should be used only by women who have a uterus.

Activella Side Effects:

Do not take ACTIVELLA if you are pregnant, have recently given birth, have unusual vaginal bleeding, or have had a hysterectomy, certain types of cancer, blood clots, or a history of stroke, heart attacks, or liver disease. Additionally, estrogen can increase the risk of cancer of the uterus. Combining progestin with estrogen, as with ACTIVELLA, significantly reduces but does not eliminate this risk. Estrogen/progestin therapy may increase the risk of heart attacks, strokes and blood clots. Prolonged therapy may also increase the risk of breast cancer. ACTIVELLA is generally well tolerated. The most common side effect is breast tenderness. Others may include headache, irregular bleeding, back pain and nausea. For more information ask your healthcare provider.
