This medicine is a corticosteroid used to reduce itching, redness, and swelling associated with many skin conditions. Anusol ointment contains hydrocortisone which reduces inflammation and therefore eases the pain and discomfort of hemorrhoids and piles. It also contains active ingredients to soothe the itch and irritation associated with hemorrhoids. Anusol suppositories temporarily relieve the symptons associated with hemorrhoids and other anorectal disorders such as: itching, burning and discomfort.
