Azopt Drops Information:

Azopt (Brinzolamide) is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor used in the eye to lower high pressure in the eye in patients with ocular hypertension or glaucoma. Azopt (Brinzolamide) may also be used to treat other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Azopt Drops Side Effects:

Opthalmic Suspension Azopt side effects: Azopt side effects that may occur while using Azopt (Brinzolamide) include blurred vision, eye discomfort, tearing, or dryness when first applied; or a bitter taste in the mouth. If Azopt side effects continue or are bothersome, check with your doctor. CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR AS SOON AS POSSIBLE if you experience Azopt side effects like irritated eyelids, eye pain or itching, or a rash. If you notice other Azopt side effects not listed above, contact your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist.

Azopt (Brinzolamide) Directions: Follow the directions for using Azopt (Brinzolamide) provided by your doctor. IF YOU WEAR CONTACT LENSES, remove them before using this medicine. Wait at least 15 minutes after using this medicine before reinserting your lenses. SHAKE WELL before using this medicine. TO USE Azopt (Brinzolamide): first, wash your hands. Tilt your head back and with your index finger, pull the lower eyelid away from the eye to form a pouch. Drop Azopt (Brinzolamide) into the pouch and gently close your eyes. Do not blink and keep your eyes closed for 1 or 2 minutes. Remove excess medicine around your eye with a clean tissue, being careful not to touch your eye. Wash your hands to remove any medicine that may be on them. TO PREVENT GERMS from entering your Azopt (Brinzolamide), do not touch the applicator tip to any surface, including your eye. Keep the container tightly closed. IF YOU ARE USING MORE THAN 1 EYE DROP MEDICINE, each medicine should be given at least 10 minutes apart. STORE THIS MEDICINE at room temperature below 86 degrees F (30 degrees C), away from heat and light. IF YOU MISS A DOSE OF Azopt (Brinzolamide), use it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule.
