What Is Asthma?
Asthma is a chronic respiratory disease characterized by episodes
or attacks of inflammation and narrowing of small airways in response to
asthma “triggers.” Asthma attacks can vary from mild to life
threatening.
Asthma attacks can involve:

Shortness of breath

Education of patients, families, and health professionals
Monitoring of lung condition
Medication
Albuterol is used to treat
or prevent the symptoms of asthma, emphysema, and other breathing conditions;
this medicine is a bronchodilator. Prevention of the symptoms of exercise-induced
asthma may also be done by using this medicine. It can also be used in other
circumstances for treatment, as if determined by your doctor. |
