What should you
watch for while taking Norvasc?
It is important that you regularly check your blood pressure
while you are taking Norvasc. Ask your doctor that what should be the blood
pressure and pulse rate.
Until you know how Norvasc affects you, do not drive, use machinery, or
do anything that needs mental alertness. If you are an older patient then
do not stand or sit up quickly. This reduces the risk of dizzy or fainting
spells. Do not take alcohol while taking Norvasc. Avoid alcoholic drinks.
Do not suddenly stop taking Norvasc, if you have been taking Norvasc regularly
from some time. Your symptoms may get worse if you suddenly stop taking
this medicine. Ask your doctor for advising you about slowly stopping Norvasc.
Consult with your doctor if you are going to have surgery.
Norvasc
is used to control high blood pressure or angina (chest
pain); this medicine is a calcium channel blocker. This medicine also helps
to prevent strokes, heart attacks and kidney problems. It can also be used
in other circumstances for treatment, as if determined by your doctor. |
