What
should you watch for while taking Mobic?
If your pain continues after taking medicine also then immediately contact
your doctor. Without taking your doctor’s advice, do not take any
other medicine. Call your doctor or health care professional if you feel
or have flu-like symptoms (fever, chills, muscle aches and pains). It is
recommended not to treat yourself.
Take Mobic with a full glass of water to reduce unpleasant effects on your
stomach and never take it just before lying down. This medicine can also
be taken with food to decrease stomach upset. Consult with your doctor as
soon as possible, if you notice black, tarry stools or experience severe
stomach pain and/or vomit blood or what looks like coffee grounds.
For the prevention of heart attack or stroke, Mobic cannot take the place
of aspirin. Before taking this medicine, consult with your doctor if you
are taking medicines that affect the clotting of your blood, such as aspirin
or blood thinners such as Coumadin. You should not discontinue taking aspirin
without checking with your doctor, if you are currently taking it.
It is recommended not to smoke cigarettes or drink alcohol as the can increase
irritation to your stomach and can make it more susceptible to damage from
Mobic
During the last 3 months of pregnancy, it is important not to use Mobic.
Take the Mobic only if advised by doctor during pregnancy. During delivery,
Mobic may cause problems in the unborn child or complications.
Mobic is used to relieve the
signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis; this medicine is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory
drug (NSAID). It can also be used in other circumstances for treatment,
as if determined by your doctor.
Two strengths are available for ‘Mobic’ Tablets:
The tablet containing 7.5 mg meloxicam on one side and on the other side
yellow -coloured, round -shaped, biconvex, uncoated tablets. |
