What should your health care
professional know before you take Mobic?
Your doctor or health care professional need to know if
you have any of these conditions:
1. Dental disease 2. Diabetes 3.
Liver disease 4. High blood pressure
5. Bleeding problems or taking medicines that make you bleed more
easily such as anticoagulants ('blood thinners') 6.
Heart or circulation problems such as heart failure or leg edema (fluid
retention) 7. Kidney disease 8.
Pregnant or trying to get pregnant 9. Drink more than
3 alcohol-containing beverages a day 10. An unusual
or allergic reaction to aspirin, other salicylates, Mobic, piroxicam, other
NSAIDs, other medicines, foods, dyes or preservatives 11.
Asthma, especially aspirin sensitive asthma 12. Ulcerative
colitis 13. Systemic lupus erythematosus 14.
Beast-feeding 15. Cigarette smoker
16. Stomach or duodenal ulcers
Mobic is used to relieve the
signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis; this medicine is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory
drug (NSAID). It can also be used in other circumstances for treatment,
as if determined by your doctor.
Two strengths are available for ‘Mobic’ Tablets:
The tablet containing 7.5 mg meloxicam on one side and
on the other side yellow -coloured, round -shaped, biconvex, uncoated tablets.
The tablet containing 15 mg meloxicam on one side and on
the other side yellow -coloured, oblong -shaped, biconvex, uncoated tablets. |
