Major and Minor
It has been noticed that adverse reactions can be occur with any drug, even
over-the-counter medications. Some of these are mild which includes stomach
upset, which may be avoided by taking the medication with food. Minor reactions
may go away on their own. For major reactions, the patient should contact
the doctor immediately.

Minor
Abdominal cramps, indigestion, nausea, bloating, diarrhea, headache, dizziness,
rash are some of the minor side effects of taking Asacol.
Major
Fever, severe headache, increased blood in stool, sudden severe stomach
pain are some of the major side effects of taking Asacol
