About Allergies
Allergies are reactions you have to things called allergens, which are normally
harmless to most people. Immune system protects you from things like bacteria
and viruses. These types of things try to invade your body. If you have
allergies, allergens cause your body to react as if they were harmful invaders.
But, your immune system is actually responding to a false alarm. As a result,
your body goes through a series of reactions. One of these reactions includes
the release of something called histamine. Allergy symptoms like runny nose,
itchy eyes, and sneezing is caused by Histamine.
Zyrtec contains an antihistamine. Antihistamines are medicines that block
the action of histamines and relieve your allergy symptoms.
Common types of allergies
There are many kinds of allergies. Indoor allergies are year-round, and
it can be treated with medicine where as Outdoor allergies which are seasonal
in nature and can be treated with medicines.
