Important information
It won't replace fast-acting inhalers for sudden symptoms and it is recommended
not to take this medicine more than twice a day. Complex asthma-related
fatalities occurred in a study with SEREVENT®, this is one of the components
of Advair Be careful, if you are planning to switch over an oral steroid,
like prednisone, to the inhaled steroid in Advair, as you may be less able
to heal after surgery, infection, or serious injury. If you have a heart
condition or high blood pressures then tell your doctor as soon as possible
because some people may experience increased blood pressure, heart rate,
or some times changes in heart rhythm. Contact your doctor immediately,
if your asthma does not improve. Advair 100/50 is for those who have asthma
symptoms while on an inhaled corticosteroid.
What is Asthma?
These two main things are happening in your lungs, when you have asthma,
1. Constriction (the tightening of the muscles around the
airways) and,
2. Inflammation (the swelling and irritation of the airways).
Wheezing, coughing, chest tightness and shortness of breath are the some
symptoms of Constriction and inflammation narrow your airways. There is
increasing evidence that, if left untreated, asthma may cause a long-term
decline in lung function.
For many patients, optimal therapy requires treating both main components
of asthma. Fortunately, treating asthma with Advair helps treat both.
Now there is an Asthma Control Test which is used to see if, your treatment
