Special warnings about Celebrex
If you have any stomach ulcers or bleeding in the past, it is recommended
to inform your doctor about that before begin to take Celebrex. If you develop
or notice any digestive problems, swelling, or rash then inform your doctor
as soon as possible.
Use Celebrex with caution, if you have a problem of asthma. There are chances
that it could trigger an attack, especially if you are also sensitive to
aspirin.
It is recommended that if you are taking a steroid medication for your arthritis
do not stop taking it suddenly when you start taking Celebrex. Celebrex
is not a replacement for such drugs.
Kidney or liver problems can be caused by Celebrex, particularly in people
with an existing condition. Take Celebrex with caution, if you have such
a disorder. Do not take this medicine if you notice symptoms or sign of
liver positioning and inform your doctor as soon as possible. Nausea, fatigue,
itching, yellowish skin, pain in the right side of the stomach, and flu-like
symptoms are the warning signs.
Make sure that your doctor knows, if you are prone to anemia (loss of red
blood cells). Celebrex occasionally fosters this problem.
Water retention can also be caused with Celebrex which can worsen swelling,
high blood pressure, and heart failure. If you have any of these conditions,
use this medication with caution.
In children under 18, the safety and effectiveness of Celebrex have not
been tested.
Celebrex is used to relieve pain
and swelling (inflammation); this medicine is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory
drug (NSAID) known as a COX-2 inhibitor. Treatment of arthritis, acute pain,
and menstrual pain and discomfort are done by using Celebrex. It can also
be used in other circumstances for treatment, as if determined by your doctor. |
