If you have had an allergic reaction or are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine than do not take Zoloft. The full effect of this medicine can be seen after few weeks. Without consulting your doctor do not stop taking this medicine. At the same time when you are taking the medicine, keep all doctor and laboratory appointments. At the beginning of treatment with this medicine and also at the time of any change to your dose, additional monitoring of your condition is required. Consult your doctor as quickly as possible, if you experience anxiety, agitation, panic attacks, difficulty sleeping, irritability, hostility, impulsive feelings, severe restlessness, or worsening of depression. If these symbols occur than it shows that your condition is worsening or that your treatment with this medicine should be evaluated. The parent or caregiver of a patient should check for these symptoms if occurs. Consult the doctor as quickly as possible if any of these symptoms occur. For more information, consult your doctor. Drowsiness may be caused by using Zoloft. Without knowing about the reactions of Zoloft on you do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous. Your ability to drive or to perform other potentially dangerous tasks may be reduces if you use Zoloft alone, with other medicines, or with alcohol. You can have side effects for having this medicine with alcohol and other depressants. If you have any questions about which medicines are depressants than consult your doctor. It is suggested not to take alcohol with this medicine. Consult with your doctor about the use of alcohol with Zoloft. All prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking should be known by your doctor or pharmacist while you start taking any new medicine. This includes any medicines that contain drowsiness-causing ingredients. It is recommended you to check all the medicines you are taking for drowsiness causing- ingredients. If you are not sure about which products may cause drowsiness, consult with your doctor. Drowsiness effect may be increased if Zoloft is taken with other medicines which have drowsiness causing- ingredients. More carefulness is recommended when Zoloft is used by elderly because they may be more sensitive to the effects of the medicine, including a decrease in sodium levels in the blood. More carefulness is recommended when Zoloft is used by children because they may be more sensitive to the effects of the medicine. It is suggested to observe weight and growth in children who are taking Zoloft. F0R WOMEN: Consult with your doctor about all the benefits and risks of using this medicine if you plan on becoming pregnant especially during the third trimester. It is not known if this medicine is excreted in breast milk. While taking this medicine, ask your doctor to discuss the risks to your baby, if you are or will be breast-feeding.
