Zocor Side Effects
Sometimes like other medicines ‘Zocor’ can also cause side effects in some patients. Mostly all these side effects caused by ‘Zocor’ are short-lived and are slight.
The following are the side effects which were reported rarely: weakness, headache, dizziness, numbness or loss of sensation in the arms and legs, hair loss, rash, itchiness, stomach upsets (such as sickness, constipation, diarrhoea, flatulence, indigestion and abdominal pain), liver disease (possibly presenting as yellowing of the eyes and/or skin, itchiness of the skin, dark coloured urine, pale coloured stools), muscle damage (see below), or an allergic reaction to ‘Zocor’. The allergic reaction may cause some of the following: joint pains, joint and blood vessel inflammation, unusual bruising, skin eruptions, swelling, hives, skin sensitivity to the sun, swelling of the face, tongue or throat (in which case you should contact your doctor immediately), a high temperature, flushing, difficulty in breathing, or tiredness. If any of these incident occurs like muscle aches and pains, tenderness, weakness, or cramps then consult your doctor quickly. This should be done because on rare occasions, muscle damage can be serious.Contact your doctor immediately, if any of these incidents happen, or you have any other unusual symptoms or feelings, stop taking the tablets.

Contact your local poison control center or emergency room without delay, if overdose is supposed to be taken by you.

Zocor Additional Information
If you are overweight, Zocor should be used along with exercise, a low-cholesterol/low-fat diet, and a weight loss program. You should follow all diet prescription given by doctor. This medicine should not be shared with others to whom it was not prescribed. For other health conditions, do not use Zocor. Keep this medicine out of the reach of children and pets. Obtain refills before your supply rush out, if you use this medicine for a comprehensive period of time.
