Directions
For using Lexapro, follow all the instructions as given by your doctor. The dosage of this medicine can be taken with or without food. And it should be stored at room temperature below 77 degrees F (25 degrees C) in a tightly-sealed container and in a dry place and away from heat and direct light. Storage between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C) is allowed. Even if you feel well do not stop taking this medicine. Any doses should not be missed by you. If sometimes you do not remember to take the medicine or you do not remember that you have taken the dose a day or not and if it is time for your next dose, leave out the missed dose and take the medicine according to your regular dosing schedule, do not take 2 doses at once.

Cautions
If you have had an allergic reaction to this medicine or are allergic to any ingredient in this medicine than do not take this medicine. The full effect of this medicine can be seen after few weeks. Without consulting your doctor do not stop taking this medicine. There are possibilities that if the medicine is suddenly stopped, the conditions may become worse. When the medicine is to be stopped your dose may need to be slowly lowered to avoid side effects. At the same time when you are taking the medicine, keep all doctor and laboratory appointments. At the beginning of treatment with this medicine and also at the time of any change to your dose, additional monitoring of your condition is required. Consult your doctor as quickly as possible, if you experience anxiety, agitation, panic attacks, difficulty sleeping, irritability, hostility, impulsive feelings, severe restlessness, or worsening of depression. If these symbols occur than it shows that your condition is worsening or that your treatment with this medicine should be evaluated. The parent or caregiver of a patient should check for these symptoms if occur. Consult the doctor as quickly as possible if any of these symptoms occur. For more information, consult your doctor. Drowsiness or dizziness may be caused by using Lexapro. Without knowing about the reactions of Lexapro on you do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous. Your ability to drive or to perform other potentially dangerous tasks may be reduces if you use Lexapro alone, with other medicines, or with alcohol. You can have side effects for having this medicine with alcohol and other depressants. If you have any questions about which medicines are depressants than consult your doctor. It is suggested not to take alcohol with this medicine. Consult with your doctor about the use of alcohol with Lexapro. All prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are taking should be known by your doctor or pharmacist while you start taking any new medicine. This includes any medicines that contain drowsiness-causing ingredients. More carefulness is recommended when Lexapro is used by elderly or children because they may be more sensitive to the effects of the medicine. F0R WOMEN: Consult with your doctor about all the benefits and risks of using this medicine if you plan on becoming pregnant especially during the third trimester. This medicine is excreted in breast milk. While taking Lexapro, do not breast-feed.
