RALOXIFENE (ral-OX-I-feen) is the chemical name for Evista.
White-coloured, oval-shaped, film-coated tablets marked
with the number 4165. Plastic bottles or blister boxes
are used for packing these tablets. Evista tablets are
available in blister boxes containing 14, 28 or 84 tablets
and 100 tablets pack are available in bottles.
Evista Common Uses
Evista is used to treat and prevent osteoporosis in women
after menopause; this medicine is a selective estrogen
receptor modulator (SERM). It can also be used in other
circumstances for treatment, as if determined by your
doctor. These medicines are structurally dissimilar from
hormones, including estrogens and progestins.
Before Using Evista
There are chances that any other medicines or medical
conditions may interact with this medicine therefore all
prescription and over-the-counter medicine that you are
taking should be known by your doctor or pharmacist. If
you have any other medical conditions, allergies, pregnancy,
or breast-feeding than immediately inform your doctor.
Consult your doctor, if your cholesterol and/or triglyceride
levels have ever increased because you took estrogens.
If you have a history of blood clots then it is recommended
not use this medicine. If you have any further queries
