Pradaxa Information:
Pradaxa is a medicine which is used to prevent the formation of blood clots. it works by blocking a substance in the body which is involved in blood clot formation. Pradaxa is often used after knee or hip replacement surgery to prevent the formation of blood clots in the veins.
Pradaxa Side Effects:As this medicine affects blood clotting, most side effects are related to sings such as bruising or bleeding. Common side effects include: a fall in the number of red cells in the blood; haematoma formation; bleeding from an injury; a fall in the amounts of haemoglobin in the blood; wound secretion; bruising occurring after an operation; bleeding occurring after an operation; exudation of a small amount of liquid from the incision made for a surgical procedure; blood found in teh urine on laboratory testing. There are other possible side effect and if any of the side effects gets serious you should contact your doctor or pharmacist.
