Climara Patch (generic name: Estradiol 17b) drug is an estrogen hormone used to provide female hormone when the body no longer produces enough, such as when a woman goes through the menopause and estrogen levels drop. Estradiol hormone drug is used to help reduce menopause symptoms such as hot flashes and vaginal dryness. It is also prescribed to prevent bone loss (osteoporosis) in people at high risk of the illness. If you are only being treated for vaginal menopause symptoms, products applied locally such as vaginal creams, tablets, or rings should be considered before products taken by mouth or absorbed through the skin. Climara skin patches are also used to treat ovarian disorders, infertility, and abnormal vaginal bleeding.

Climara Patch Directions:

You should consult your doctor if you are taking any other medications, as they may interact with Climara Patch including carbamazepine, Phenobarbital, St John’s Wort, antibiotics, antifungals and ritonavir. You should also inform you doctor if you are pregnant, planning to conceive or breastfeeding as Climara Patch may cause harm to your baby.
