Halog (Generic name: Halcinonide) is a topical medication used treat a variety of skin conditions, such as allergies, eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, rush. Halcinonide is a topical corticosteroid. It reduces the actions of chemicals in the body that cause inflammation, redness, and swelling. Halog 0.1% is available in two dosage forms: Halog Ointment and Halog Cream. Use Halog medication exactly as directed on the label.
Halog Side Effects:The most common Halog side effects include burning, dryness, irritation, itching, and redness of skin. If you experience any severe side effects or allergic reactions, check with your doctor as soon as possible. Halog is for dermatologic use only. Do not use Halog on the face, groin, or underarms unless directed by your doctor. Apply Halog to the affected area 2 or 3 times daily and rub it gently into the skin. Do NOT use Halog if you are allergic to Halcinonide. Before using Halog, tell the doctor about your medical history, especially of: poor blood circulation, immune system problems, and any types of skin infections like bacterial, fungus, or skin infection. Tell your doctor all the prescriptions and non-prescription drugs you are taking, they may interact with Halog medicine. Consult your doctor if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
