Diovan dosage
After a myocardial infarction, the therapy may be commenced as early as after 12 hours. The starting dose of valsartan therapy is 20 mg twice daily, afterwards it should be titrated to 40 mg, 80 mg, and 160 mg twice daily over the next few weeks. 40 mg divisible tablet are given as a starting dose. It depends on patient's tolerability to valsartan during titration to take the dose of 160 mg twice daily.
